Why I’m running for EVP

I’m Dan, and I’m running for Executive Vice President of the Young Democrats of America.

I got into this work the same way a lot of us did: watching young Democrats organize their hearts out with almost none of the data the other side takes for granted. As the Chief Data Officer of YDA, I’ve spent this cycle building the maps, models, and turnout tools that help organizers actually see the ground they’re fighting on — precinct by precinct.

Here’s what I believe: Young Democrats win when we treat organizing like a craft and data like an asset, and when we show up everywhere — not just the safe seats. The chapters doing the hardest work, in the reddest states and the most rural counties, deserve the same tools the big states already have.

As EVP, that’s what I’ll build: data for every chapter, organizing everywhere, and institutions that outlast any one of us. If that’s the YDA you want too, I’d be honored to earn your support.
